President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of retired Commodore Emmanuel Effedua as the Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State.
He is to serve for another term of four years.
Mr Eric Ojiekwe, the Director Press in the ministry, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
He said that Effedua, first appointed on Nov. 17, 2017, would continue in office effective Sept. 2.
He said retired Rear Adm. Jacob Ajani was also appointed as the new Board Chairman of the institution.
”Ajani is to replace the former Board Chairman, Demola Seriki, who has been appointed as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.
”The new Board Chairman will also assume duty on Sept. 2, 2021,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr Magdalene Ajani, presented the letter reappointing Effedua in her office on Monday. (NAN)
