According to Nwaka-Agada, the second phase of the exercise has become necessary in order to complement the first one by reaching out to those who could not be reached then.

“We are making it back again on Saturday, Dec. 4, for the second time to reach out to those who were unable to see our medical team on Saturday, Nov. 20,’’ she said.

NAN reports that the NGO, about two weeks ago, organised the first free medical outreach during which no fewer than 1,000 residents of Akumazi-Umuocha and neighbouring communities benefited.

They were diagnosed and treated for a wide range of illnesses, including hypertension, diabetes and eye problems.

The community in Ika North East Local Government Area of the state had earlier called for help and regular conduct of free medical outreach in the area.

NAN recalls that the organisation had in July reached out to Ibusa community of Delta with over 400 persons attended to.

Also in October Egede, Enugu State on October over 1,500 women, men, elderly, youths and indigent individuals who turned up in Egede, Enugu State, were diagnosed and treated for a wide range of illnesses.
