Chief Elias Mbam, the Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari as he celebrates his 79th birthday.

Mbam in a message of felicitations to Buhari on Friday in Abakaliki which was made available to newsmen, said that the life of the president was a gift to all Nigerians.

The RMAFC chairman said that the history of the country could not be written without many mentions of the president’s desire to see every citizen of Nigeria become proud of the nation.

He said: “Your Excellency, the history of Nigeria cannot be written at any time, without many mentions of your intrinsic desire to see this country grow to a nation where every Nigerian has reasons to be proud.

“On your inauguration in 2015, you initiated policies that have reshaped the perception of this country in the eyes of the world – that which is ready and working to curb and kill corruption.

“You injected discipline into the system and created policies that at the end will bear fruits that reposition Nigeria’s economy.

“Sir, your government has through numerous social intervention programmes impacted positively on the lives of rural people, farmers, market women, traders and entrepreneurs.

“In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world has been brought to its knees, your government quickly assembled the best team of professionals and policy strategists to ensure that we scaled the hurdle.

“Your efforts in this regard continue to make our country safe for every Nigerian in this troubling period.

“It is our prayers that God in His mercy will continue to keep you in good health, strength and continues to increase you in knowledge to not only administer this country but to be able to advise the next leaders of Nigeria and steer them on the right path.” (NAN)
