Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Yamusa III

Keffi polo ranch in collaboration with the Keffi Emirate Council has concluded arrangements to organise a one-day polo tournament to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the Emir, Dr Shehu Yamusa III.
Alhaji Ahmed Wadada, who holds the traditional tittle of Sarkin Yakin Keffi, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Keffi.
According to Wadada, the tournament which is scheduled for Dec. 14 would be witneased by traditional rulers, political leaders, captains of industry, prominent sons and daughters of the ancient city of Keffi.
The SDP senatorial candidate for Nasarawa West district also said that the anniversary would feature a book launch on the history of Keffi.

Wadada said that the event would hold at the Keffi polo ranch, commending the emir for his tireless efforts in promoting the culture of peace, unity and tolerance.
Wadada said that the reign of Yamusa had enjoyed mutual understanding among the various ethnic nationalities in the emirate
The former two-term member of the House of Representatives also applauded the emir for his various initiatives toward bolstering the socioeconomic development of Keffi.
Wadada said: ” I am happy that Keffi is witnessing transformation and enhanced peace under the dynamic leadership of our revered traditional ruler and pray to the Almighty Allah to prolong his stay on the throne of his forbears.” (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
