The Nigeria Youths Organisation (NYO), South-East Zone, has commended Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation for constructing over 70 bungalows for widows and indigent households in Ebonyi.

The leader of the group, Mr Okorie Chukwumaobi, gave the commendation at a press briefing in Abakaliki on Friday.

Chukwumaobi described the founder of the oragnisation, Chief Ifeanyichukwuma Odii, as a “philanthropist with a difference, who has touched lives of the down-trodden in society positively in many ways.”

He further said Odii was “an angel sent by God” to help the needy and the down-trodden in society.

“Chief Ifeanyichukwuma Odii has through his numerous philanthropic works and activities demonstrated that he is truly an embodiment of Christ’s love and embodiment of human relief.

“Hence, we the teeming members of Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO) South East zone have chosen to adopt him as our ‘religion of worship’,” he noted.

Chukwumaobi also commended the philanthropist for the recent entrepreneurship grant given to Ebonyi students studying at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka.

He noted that Odii donated millions of naira to the widow of late Chief Kosoko Okoronkwo of Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area.

The leader further said that the phillanthropist awarded scholarships to the five children of the deceased to ensure their university education.

“NYO equally applauds Odii for approving the immediate building of a bungalow for an indigent widow, Mrs Beatrice Nwede of Enyibichiri in Ikwo Local Government Area, who he spotted on the social media.

“We also appreciate his adoption of Nwede’s four out-of-school children into the scholarship scheme and the approval of N20,000 monthly stipends for the upkeep of the indigent widow’s family,” Chukwumaobi said. (NAN)
